Race for the Cure

April 22nd would have been Mom's 60th Birthday, and we wanted to commemorate it in some way and remember her. My friend Melanie Maynor had a great idea last year in honor of her mother, so I have to credit her for this. :) We have formed a team to participate in the Race for the Cure here in Jackson on April 18. We would love for our friends and family to be here to celebrate her life and legacy. Our goal is to have 60 members on the team. To join the team go to http://www.komen-ms.org/ and click "online race registration" then "join a team". The team name is "Trudy's Troopers" (the name my uncle used for all of the people who tirelessly served Mom and our family during her last weeks on earth). You can run or walk the 5k race. We know that many of you will be unable to come, but you can still join the team under the "Sleep In" option if you would like to. The race is in the morning, and that afternoon we will be having cake at our house and would love for you to stop by. Deadline for online registration is APRIL 6th.
