Race Weekend

Thanks to everyone who joined our Race Team and helped to make it a success. We had a great time visiting with family and friends all weekend long. Lauren and the girls came early so we had a nice visit with them too. We "raced" on Saturday morning and then gathered at our house that afternoon for cake and fellowship. Several people had some moving things to say about Mom that we really appreciated hearing. Mom was always the life of the party and she loved her family and friends. She would have loved this gathering though we know that she celebrates in Heaven now in a way that we cannot even fathom. Perhaps my favorite moment was when my uncle Hank gave a toast, quoting a preacher who, on the occasion of the funeral of a godly woman in his church said, "May we all live lives so as to be missed." We miss you Mom.
